Donato Abruzzese is Professor of Structural Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering of University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and at Second University of Naples. Born in August 1955, graduated at University of Naples "Federico II" in 1980, visiting scholar at Columbia University, USA, in 1988. Expert member of European Commission of Scientific Program since 1997.

He has been responsible of the research project: “Measure Technology and Modelling Method on Dynamical Behaviour of Ancient Buildings” included in the executive protocol for the scientific and technological cooperation between Italy and China for the years 2003-2005, producing publications on the argument.

He has been responsible of several research projects funded by italian CNR related with masonry structures, static analysis of monuments, fiber-reinforced concrete.

 

Main research field: computer application on structural analysis, static of masonry and monumental structures, seismic engineering, dynamic tests and structural identification, fiber-reinforced concrete.
